Tuolumne Meadows Day Hike: Soda Springs and Parsons Memoral Lodge (Yosemite)

Tuolumne Meadows is one of the biggest meadows in California. It’s located along the legendary Tioga Road and surrounded by striking granite formations, sharp peaks, pinnacles, and massive granite domes. Soda Springs is a naturally-carbonated cold water source bubbles right out of the ground next to the Tuolumne River in the heart of Tuolumne Meadows. This pictures from August 2014 shows that not only humans enjoy this area but also deer (as seen in the background)


For the easy day hike (distance 0.7 miles) start at Lembert Dome parking area and walk along the gravel road and pass the locked gate:
